Announcing AllSides Media Bias Chart Version 10.2: New Ratings for RealClearPolitics, CNBC, and More

AllSides is consistently tracking bias in media.

Over the past several months, we gathered thousands of responses in our December 2024 and February 2025 Blind Bias Surveys, capturing how real Americans perceive the political leanings of news reports when they don’t know the source.

We also put numerous sources through our rigorous Editorial Review process, in which a panel of experts on the left, center, and right who are trained to see bias assesses outlets, discusses and deliberates.

The result is Version 10.2 of the AllSides Media Bias Chart, which features updated ratings, strengthened confidence levels, and sharper clarity on how news organizations are shifting in tone and content.

Here’s what’s changed and been confirmed:

Our media bias ratings are not fixed — they combine point-in-time assessments with long-term trend analysis, balancing current context and historical evidence. As the landscape evolves, so do the narratives and perspectives reflected in news coverage. That’s why we continually review sources, gather input from the public, and conduct expert panel evaluations to ensure our ratings stay trustworthy.

Bias is dynamic, and our chart changes with it — so you can navigate the news with clarity and confidence.

Bias Isn’t Just in Legacy News

The AllSides Media Bias Chart is our original news bias chart, and we are committed to keeping it up to date. But as more and more people get news from social media influencers, we want to make sure you have access to transparency around social media bias, too. Our recently released X Influencer Bias Chart sheds light on the bias of top social media voices on the platform X. We also recently added the Trump administration’s White House Wire (Lean Right) to our News Aggregator Bias Chart.

Power the Chart. Protect Transparency. Be Heard.
