Judge Unseals Detailed Inventory of Documents Seized from Mar-a-Lago

On Friday, a judge in Florida unsealed an inventory of the items seized by the FBI from Mar-a-Lago.

The inventory details how documents marked "classified" were sometimes mixed in with books and newspaper articles, and how in addition to records labeled as "top secret," "secret" and "confidential," there were also empty "classified" folders. It says that 18 total records marked as "top secret" were seized, in addition to over 11,000 non-classified documents. The judge is the same one who heard arguments Thursday by Trump's attorneys and two Justice Department's counterintelligence prosecutors about appointing a special master to review the seized materials, but delayed ruling on that for now.

It remains unclear why Trump didn't turn the seized records over as required by law once he left office. Trump maintains that he declassified all the documents in question. He and his legal team continue to push for a special master to independently review the seized materials, and accuse federal authorities of targeting him for political reasons.

The inventory's release was the top story from news sources across the political spectrum Friday. Some left-rated sources, such as NBC News (Lean Left bias) and CNN, focused on the empty folders with "classified" markings. Fox News reported that the inventory "includes little that was unexpected," but "does underscore the massive amount of material the government took from Mar-a-Lago, including many documents that were apparently the property of the U.S. government."
