11 Kalamazoo-area girls basketball players notch 2024 BCAM all-state honors
KALAMAZOO, MI – The Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan released its 2023-24 all-state list this week and 11 girls basketball players from our Southwest Michigan coverage area made the cut.

Michigan medical examiner warns about 6 apparent drug overdoses in 11 days
A mid-Michigan medical examiner is raising the alarm after seeing an “unusual” series of fatal drug overdoses.
In an April 19 public health warning, Dr. William Morrone said there have been six apparent drug overdoses in 11 days, including two Tuscola County deaths within 24 hours. Morrone serves as the chief medical examiner for Arenac, Bay, Iosco, Midland and Tuscola counties.
