Fire department: Gas leak ignites house fire in Perth Amboy
The fire department said there was a gas leak at the home on Madison Avenue. A witness told News 12 New Jersey flames were seen shooting out of the window.
Fire crews put out the fire as emergency vehicles remained on the scene to make sure it’s safe for residents to return inside the house.
There was no immediate word on what caused the fire or if anyone was injured.

School District of Crandon extends closure following carbon monoxide leak
CRANDON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The School District of Crandon has extended its closure due to a carbon monoxide leak.
In a press release, the district says schools will stay closed through spring break. Currently, students and staff are set to return on Tuesday, April 2nd.
Dozens of people had to be treated for carbon monoxide exposure after a furnace malfunctioned on Thursday.
