San Jose woman dies after being shot, in city's 12th homicide this year
A San Jose woman died on Friday night after being shot, police said. Officers found the woman around North 4th and East St. John Street around 9:07 p.m. after responding to a welfare check. She was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was not conscious or breathing. The woman was pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital.
