E.P.A. Announces $4.3 Billion in Funding for 25 Climate Projects
The Environmental Protection Agency is set to announce $4.3 billion in funding on Monday afternoon for 25 new projects proposed by states, tribes, local governments and territories to tackle climate change. New affordable housing project to open in Carlsbad
Carlsbad will celebrate the opening of its newest affordable housing complex Tuesday, the 93-unit Pacific Wind Apartments in the city’s Barrio neighborhood. Pacific Winds has been in the works for more than 12 years and survived a lawsuit filed by residents who objected to the size and layout of the three-story complex. A legal settlement in 2018 reduced the number of apartments by six.
