In August 2026, an AllSides team member reviewed online content from The Scranton Times-Tribune and assigned the paper an initial Media Bias Rating of Lean Left.
The reviewer noted that while the paper's original news content was generally near the center, its opinion section and story choice on its homepage, which prominently featured a lot of Associated Press wires, pulled it to the left.
AllSides does not rate publications based on print, so this was not factored into the rating, but the paper's daily physical edition often prominently includes many news features from Associated Press, The New York Times, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
