Kids Fishing Day
Rain didn’t stop area youth from enjoying Kids Fishing Day Saturday at the DNR Pocket Park at the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. Kids were able to catch bluegill from the pond at the Pocket Park along with other activities. This year marks the 31st year the event has been held. It coincided with Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend when people are able to fish in the state without a license.
