Power outage in Mesquite not impacting election day voting
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Residents in Mesquite were left without power however, it was not expected to impact election day for voters on Tuesday evening. The outage occurred around 4 p.m. after a car crash in the area, according to Overton Power District #5’s (OPD5) post on X. Younggren elected judge in East Central District Court
FARGO (KVRR) – Cass County prosecutor Ryan Younggren has won the race for a judgeship in the East Central District Court.
Younggren received 12,302 votes. He defeated Daniel Gast, who received 3,602 votes and Scott Diamond who garnered 2,978 votes.
Younggren takes over for Judge John Irby, who announced in February that he would not seek another term.

Clerk: Voting turnout steady for primary Election Day
Voting was steady during the first seven hours the polls were open in Douglas County, according to Clerk-Treasurer Amy Burgans. As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, 958 voters cast a ballot in person at one of the county’s five polling stations. Burgans said almost 2,000 more mailed ballots had been received by the Clerk’s Office.
