Man killed in gunfight with Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputies, Denham Springs police

Officers shot and killed a suspect during an exchange of gunfire near a Denham Springs hotel early Saturday, authorities reported. The dead man is Chevis Walen, 31, of Denham Springs, according to a social media post by Denham Springs police.
