BEREA, Ohio – After consulting with legal counsel, the Berea City School District’s Release Time for Religious Instruction (RTRI) policy has been amended to designate all courses as core curricula, thus precluding students from being released during school hours to attend religion classes.
The original policy had been in place since 2015. Berea Board of Education members approved the amendment at their Monday evening (July 8) regular business meeting.
