Former Montgomery Ward building in downtown Bluefield starts coming down

bluefield — Contractors hoisted eight stories into the air were working Thursday to start demolishing the last building standing in the 400 block of downtown Bluefield. Back in February, the contractor Reclaim started demolishing the 400 block’s buildings and gradually worked towards the tallest structure, the eight-story Montgomery Ward building standing over Chicory Square.
