A capital murder charge has been dismissed against a Birmingham woman in the 2021 fatal shooting of her husband after his family spoke in her defense. Jasmine Mari Drake, 32, was charged in the April 1, 2021 slaying of 44-year-old Louis Bryant. The charge was capital because Bryant was killed in the presence of children.
