16 People Killed After 6.8-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Ecuador and Peru

At least 16 people have died after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Ecuador Saturday, about 50 miles from Guayaquil. One of the deaths was reported in northern Peru.
