Obama campaign claims lead on early vote indicators

Led by a surge in Hispanic voters, President Obamas campaign said Thursday Democrats are leading the party registration battle in nearly every battleground state this fall as they try to combat disillusionment among Democrats following last weeks debate with GOP nominee Mitt Romney.
The Obama campaign also said that with the exception of Colorado, Democrats are doing better this year versus 2008 in every battleground state that allows voting by mail.
