Coca-Cola will swap corn syrup for cane sugar in its U.S. products after President Donald Trump urged the company to make the change, he claimed in a Truth Social post Wednesday.
“I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so,” Trump wrote. “This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!”
Coca-Cola has not confirmed Trump’s statement.
Coca-Cola released an ambiguous statement shortly after Trump’s post.
“We appreciate President Trump’s enthusiasm for our iconic Coca‑Cola brand. More details on new innovative offerings within our Coca‑Cola product range will be shared soon,” the company wrote
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr applauded the supposed move in a Thursday morning X post.
