AJ+ Rated Left in 2019 Independent Review
AllSides rates AJ+ media bias as Left following an independent review. AJ+ is run by Al Jazeera media network, which is funded by the government of Qatar. AJ+ has millions of social media followers and creates short videos on political issues, which it posts to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. Most of the videos have a clear Left bent and focus on topics typically of interest to those on the left. AJ+ often omits libertarian and right-wing perspectives and views. AJ+ frames left-wing politicians and ideas favorably and right-wing politicians and ideas negatively or omits them entirely, and sometimes, misrepresents them.
