NY Attorney General Says Trump Organization Misled Tax Officials and Banks
Summary from the AllSides News Team
On Tuesday, the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James notified a court that its investigators found evidence that the Trump Organization misled tax officials and banks by using misleading asset valuations.
The office also claims that it needs the testimonies of former President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump to determine what they knew about alleged omissions in financial statements and tax submissions. This is the first time during her office's probe that James has leveled any accusations of wrongdoing. She also has told investigators that there has been no final decision of whether or not to charge the Trump Organization with fraud.
