Other ideas include reserving 30% of Fulbright scholarships for applicants who are married with children and government-funded education programs about fertility and menstrual cycles.

For Context: In 2023, the US hit its lowest birth rate since 1979 with 3.6 million babies born, which is 2% lower than 2022. Though declining, the US birth rate is higher than those of Canada, the United Kingdom, and several other European and North American countries, according to the CIA World Factbook.
