NYPD: Woman fatally stabbed in Times Square after dispute outside restaurant
A woman was stabbed and killed outside a Chinese restaurant near Times Square Tuesday night after a dispute with another woman turned violent, according to police. NYPD officials said the two women were fighting outside Weng Palace on West 40th Street and 8th Avenue, at around 10:15 p.m. when one allegedly stabbed the other in the chest. Banana group Chiquita liable in death of eight men, ordered to pay $38.3 million
A Florida jury ruled Monday that Chiquita Brands International, the banana conglomerate, is liable for financing a paramilitary group in Colombia that killed eight men, and it has been ordered to pay the families $38.3 million in restitution. The group, the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia, was designated by the United States at the time of the killings as a terrorist organization.
