Holscher defeats Kelly-backed Corson to clinch Democratic nod in Kansas governor's race

Democratic state Sen. Cindy Holscher is projected to win the Democratic primary to replace Gov. Laura Kelly (D), according to preliminary results from Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ).

Holscher had a narrow field of Democrats to outpace, facing off against state Sen. Ethan Corson and Overland Park, Kan., Mayor Curt Skoog. Corson was backed by Kelly as well as former Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D).
