Epstein emails claimed Bill Gates got STD after 'sex with Russian girls'

CLAIM: Emails written by the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein claimed he provided Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates drugs for an STD in order "to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls." 

RATING: TRUE. Two emails that appeared to be drafts or notes from Epstein to himself were among files released by the U.S. Department of Justice in late January 2026. Snopes could not verify whether the emails were ever sent to or read by Gates or anyone other than Epstein, or whether the allegations they contained were true. A spokesperson for Gates said the claims were "absolutely absurd and completely false."
