Person pushed onto subway tracks in Chelsea, NYPD says

A man was shoved onto the subway tracks at the 18th Street station in Chelsea Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Police said the incident occurred on the southbound 1 line just after 1:30 p.m. Emergency responders rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, officials said.

The suspect fled the scene, according to police.
