Lafayette mayor-president responds to high voter turnout, new president
Former President Donald Trump is expected to become the 47th president of the United States after securing the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. Trump carried Louisiana, including Lafayette Parish, as citizens cast their votes Tuesday for president, vice president, congressional representatives and local races.
