Homicide investigation underway after woman found dead in downtown Phoenix hotel

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside a popular downtown Phoenix hotel on Friday morning. Phoenix police were called to the Renaissance Hotel near 1st Street and Adams around 3:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Authorities say a security guard found an injured woman in a hotel room.
