A woman who was a high-ranking enlisted Marine when she plowed into two teenagers while driving drunk in Stafford County last year went to jail Friday after pleading guilty to two felony charges. Beth Ellen Abbott, 40, of Stafford pleaded guilty in Stafford Circuit Court to two counts of DUI-maiming. She was also convicted of DUI. She will remain in the Rappahannock Regional Jail at least until Aug. 9, when she is scheduled to be formally sentenced.
