Providence St. Mary Medical Center officials recently announced the planned opening of the Victor Valley’s first trauma center in Apple Valley. The Level 4 trauma center is scheduled to open sometime in July after the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the project in May, Providence officials stated. By July, emergency medical staff will be qualified to provide 24-hour advanced trauma life support to critically injured patients.
