After the judge declared a mistrial in November, Brett Hankison, a former Louisville Metro Police Department detective who was charged for his involvement in Breonna Taylor’s death in 2020, is set for a civil rights trial, CNN reports. Stew Mathews and Ibrahim Farag, Hankinson’s attorneys, said they were informed by federal prosecutors that they would be refiling charges.
