President-elect Joe Biden will invoke the Defense Production Act to boost the production of Covid-19 vaccines after he takes office in January, a member of his Covid-19 advisory team told CNBC on Monday, days after the Trump administration’s vaccine czar suggested that the ramp-up in immunizations has been slower than expected.
