President Trump said that he always wanted to downplay the threat posed by the coronavirus at the beginning of the pandemic despite admitting that it was "deadly stuff," according to one of more than a dozen interviews with the veteran journalist Bob Woodward.
On Wednesday, CNN played one of the recordings from Woodward's interviews with the president for his new book, Rage, which is scheduled to be released on Sept. 15.
