Rand Paul Begins Filibuster of Patriot Act

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has begun his filibuster of the renewal of the Patriot Act on the Senate floor.

Paul had vowed to do everything he could to make sure the 2001 Bush administration-era law allowing for sweeping surveillance of citizens would be dismantled.
