Utah prosecutors unveiled seven charges Tuesday against Tyler Robinson in the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on a college campus last week and said they would seek the death penalty.
The counts include aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice and witness tampering, according to a 10-page charging document detailed by Jeff Gray, the county attorney in Utah County, Utah. The filing alleged a mountain of evidence pointing to Robinson: He confessed to his parents and roommate that he killed Kirk, the prosecutor said, and his DNA was found on the trigger of the rifle used in the shooting.
