A trip to Africa led Pearce Godwin, founder of the Listen First Project, on a journey to heal what’s broken with American democracy.

The Listen First Project is home to the #ListenFirst Coalition of 250+ organizations bringing Americans together across differences, as well as the collaborative National Conversation Project.

Pearce has catalyzed the movement to heal America by building relationships and bridging divides. He explains how his passion is transforming Americans’ division and contempt into connection and understanding.

Everyday Heroes is a digital series that profiles a handful of civic pioneers across this country as they innovate solutions to political polarization. It is a companion piece to the The Reunited States, a feature documentary executive produced by Van Jones and Meghan McCain that follows the everyday Americans bridging our political and racial divides. “The Reunited States” is now available on Amazon, iTunes and everywhere on demand.
