Clavicular Charged With Rape and Drugging in MA - The Bulwark

Gen Z influencer Clavicular has been charged with criminal rape and drugging of a minor, according to a new report from The Bulwark (Left bias). Clavicular's team told several publications that "The Bulwark is exaggerating."

The Report: The Bulwark said it obtained court records that showed the influencer – real name Braden Peters – was charged on Sept. 8 for an incident that happened on May 23, 2025, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. An arraignment is reportedly scheduled for October 14.

Clavicular's Response: Mitchell Jackson, a representative for Peters, told NBC News (Lean Left), "Braden Peters has not been physically served. As usual the Bulwark is exaggerating." Peters' attorney told TheWrap, "We are aware of the complaint recently filed against Mr. Peters. These are allegations only and remain unproven. Mr. Peters denies the claims and disputes the characterization of events. He will respond through the appropriate legal channels and intends to vigorously defend himself. We will not comment further at this time."

For Context: In April, Peters was sued in Florida by influencer Alorah Ziva – real name Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza – who accused him of battery. In the suit, she reportedly alleged that in 2025 he arranged for her to travel to Cape Cod and had sex with her while she was intoxicated. NBC News said online court records it reviewed don't indicate whether the newly reported charges are related to the allegations in the suit. After The Bulwark published its report, Peters wrote on X, "Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you."

How The Media Covered It: The Bulwark published its report on the evening of Sept. 21. The story was not widely covered as of early Sept. 22, though several big mainstream outlets that often focus on pop culture stories covered it. The Bulwark and TheWrap (Center) both prominently described Peters as "right-wing." The New York Post (Right) described Peters as a "controversial 'manosphere' streamer" and "infamous 'looksmaxxer.'" Several outlets, including NBC News, TheWrap, TMZ, and The Hollywood Reporter (Lean Left), reported speaking to a representative for Peters.
