Georgia Secretary of State's Office to Launch Probe Into Trump's Election Phone Calls

The Georgia Secretary of State's office is reportedly launching a "fact-finding and administrative" investigation into former President Donald Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn election results in the state, Reuters reported Monday. One of those efforts includes a phone call from Trump to Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Jan. 2, in which Trump said he wanted to "find" 11,780 more votes to change the outcome of the election in Georgia. On the call, Raffensperger defended the state's voting system and the results of the election. CNN reported that a Georgia prosecutor's office is weighing whether to pursue criminal charges of election fraud against Trump. The story received coverage across the political spectrum.
