Trump Admin Issues $100B Tariff Refunds as States Sue Over New Duties

The government is pressing ahead with refunds on the tariffs that were struck down by the Supreme Court in February, but a group of states is now suing to block the new duties they say have been imposed as a direct replacement for these.

According to documents filed by customs officials with the U.S. Court of International Trade and cited by the Financial Times, the Trump administration has now paid out around $100 billion in tariff refunds to importers.
