Erika Kirk, 36, has given her first extensive interview since her husband Charlie Kirk's assassination, revealing deeply personal details about his final night and taking a surprising stance against the death penalty for his killer.

The hour-and-a-half interview with The New York Times took place Thursday, just eight days after the 31-year-old ultra-conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder was gunned down at Utah Valley University.
