Houston ISD’s final proposed draft of the calendar for the 2025-26 academic year does not provide students with a day off for Eid al-Fitr, a significant Muslim holiday that the district began recognizing in 2023. The state-appointed Board of Managers is set to vote on whether to approve the calendar during its regular meeting Thursday.
