Biden was right to pardon his son Hunter because the justice system is failing | Letters

Give President Joe Biden a break. Yes, he pardoned Hunter Biden. Yes, this was after he has said repeatedly that he would not grant a pardon for his son, a fact that the media loves to hammer. I wonder what, exactly, changed his mind. If it was simply a father, believing his son had already paid too heavy a price when any other American could’ve had a reasonable settlement in the case, would he have ever said he intended to let the justice system play out?
