Dorchester barbershop murder: Man arrested in connection to fatal Labor Day shooting

After more than a month on the run, the suspect wanted in connection to the gruesome Labor Day murder at a Dorchester barbershop has been arrested. Authorities apprehended Diamond Jose Brito, 32, of Canton, around 7 p.m. Thursday in Mattapan, the Boston Police Department said in a release early Friday morning. Brito allegedly shot and killed Elijah Ricardo Clunie, 20, of Dorchester, and was “wanted on several warrants issued out of Dorchester District Court,” for the murder, Boston Police said.
