Corte Madera robbery suspect arrested after crash

Central Marin police arrested a man after an alleged robbery at the Village at Corte Madera shopping mall. The incident was reported at about 11:50 a.m. Sunday at Nordstrom. The suspect assaulted an employee while stealing sunglasses, then fled the store with an accomplice, police Sgt. Jeff Peterson said. Authorities encountered one of suspects following a vehicle crash on northbound Highway 101 near the exit to Interstate 580, Peterson said.
