Alabama man at Capitol riot died from a heart attack

The claim: A man died from a heart attack after accidentally tasing himself in the testicles at the Capitol riot

Five people died after a pro-Trump mob broke into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Three people died from medical emergencies on Capitol grounds, including Kevin Greeson, a 55-year-old man from Athens, Alabama.

Posts circulating on Twitter and Facebook claim that Greeson suffered a heart attack after leaving a taser in his pants and accidentally triggering it when he was attempting to steal a portrait in the Capitol. 

"He repeatedly tased himself in the scrotum until he suffered a fatal heart attack," wrote one Twitter user, whose post garnered more than 4,000 retweets and 15,000 likes.
