Kean has robust 4th quarter, amassing $933k warchest for race against Malinowski

Republican Tom Kean Jr. has a whopping $933,018 cash-on-hand in his bid to unseat two-term Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) in New Jersey’s 7th district after raising an impressive $501,030 in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The former minority leader of the New Jersey State Senate, Kean has raised $1,149,040 for his rematch with Malinowski since entering the race in July. He came within 1% of ousting him in 2020.
Kean has already surpassed his 2019 fundraising numbers by a substantial 23%.
The son of former Gov. Thomas Kean, he raised $3.9 million for his 2020 campaign. He entered the race in April 2019 and raised $757,025 by the end of 2019, with $792,501 in the bank.
The newly-drawn 7th, approved by the Congressional Redistricting Commission last month, is more Republican-friendly than that elected Malinowski twice. Millburn, Dover, Union Township, Cranford and Montgomery have been replaced by large portions of Warren County and nine municipalities in Sussex.
