VIDEO: Sen. Kyrsten Sinema accosted by leftist activists at ASU who confront her in the bathroom
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) was harassed by a small group of leftist activists at Arizona State University on Sunday. Video shows the Democratic senator from Arizona being accosted by left-wing activists at Arizona State University, including following Sinema into the bathroom to scold her on how she should vote for a controversial spending bill.
Original video of the confrontation was uploaded onto social media by the official Twitter account of LUCHA — Living United for Change in Arizona, a self-described "organization led by changemakers fighting for social, racial, and economic transformation" and "committed to human dignity, inclusion, equity, and collective growth."
LUCHA claimed that an "Arizona immigrant youth" confronted Sinema at a classroom in ASU, where the senator is a lecturer and where she received her doctorate.
A male voice is heard on the video telling Sinema, "Right now is a real moment that our people need in order for us to be able to talk about what's really happening. We need a 'Build Back Better' plan right now." The man is referring to the $3.5 trillion spending bill that Democratic leadership is attempting to push through Congress.
However, the activists accosted Sinema in the classroom and continued to follow the senator into the bathroom. Even after Sinema went into the bathroom stall, the progressive protesters continued to reprimand the U.S. lawmaker.
