Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson is an American conservative political commentator.
He hosted the nightly political talk show Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News from 2016-2023. In April 2023, Carlson and Fox agreed to part ways, following Fox's $787 million defamation settlement and despite high ratings for Carlson's show.

Carlson is a media personality and former Fox News host who now runs the Tucker Carlson Network, an independent media platform. The outlet positions itself as an “alternative to legacy media,” stating, “We believe the corporate media is broken beyond repair, and the only way forward is to build something better.”
Carlson is a supporter of President Donald Trump and frequently criticizes the Democratic Party, recently describing it as “anti-white” and claiming it has created a system “much more comprehensive than Jim Crow.” He often speaks out against immigration, suggesting it should be paused until the country can “regain equilibrium” and reconsider national identity. Carlson has also expressed sympathy toward Vladimir Putin and skepticism of US support for Ukraine, including claims that the Ukrainian government was involved in the second Trump assassination attempt and that American aid is being misused.
