AllSides Media Bias Rating: Lean Right
President Obama Wednesday tapped the acting director of the Secret Service, Joseph Clancy, to lead the embattled agency on a permanent basis, ignoring calls for an outsider to take over.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Mr. Clancy has “a lot of important work ahead of him.” He said the president believes Mr. Clancy is “the right person for the job,” has shown a willingness “to look at needed reforms.”
