Australia’s ASX Has Considerable Work to Do, Central Bank Says

The operator of Australia’s largest stock exchange has “considerable work to do” to meet the expectations of regulators, the Reserve Bank said in a signal that moves until now haven’t been enough.

Recent shortcomings at ASX Ltd. in risk management, including a batch settlement problem in December 2024, underscored the need for improvements in governance, culture and processes, the RBA said in a statement on Wednesday.
