George Floyd's funeral service is being held at the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston on Tuesday at 11 a.m. local time (12 p.m. ET) — just over two weeks after his death at the hands of Minneapolis police set off nationwide protests. George Floyd is being laid to rest next to his mother today at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
His body arrived in Houston on Saturday at 9:40 p.m. and was taken to Fort Bend Memorial Planning Center by the Houston Police Department.
