More Than 200 Lawmakers Call for Trump's Removal or Impeachment

Led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), more than 200 members of Congress have come out in support of removing President Donald Trump from office, either with the 25th Amendment or through impeachment. Democrats could reportedly draft articles of impeachment as soon as next week; Vice President Mike Pence reportedly doesn't plan to invoke the 25th Amendment, which would make him president if he, a majority of the Cabinet and two-thirds of Congress deem Trump unfit. With Joe Biden's inauguration set for Jan. 20, some experts say Trump's removal is unlikely. GOP lawmakers including Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Rep. Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) have criticized the call for Trump's removal. Outlets on all sides covered the news. Left-rated sources focused more on calls for removal; some right-rated outlets concentrated on opposition to removal. Others, especially right-rated sources, focused specifically on Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), the lone Republican lawmakers to explicitly support removal as of Friday afternoon, and on Sen.
