House To Vote on Resolution Condemning Trump Tweets

The House has proposed a resolution to formally condemn President Donald Trump's Sunday tweets, in which he said that progressive Democratic congresswomen should "go back" to countries they "came from" and fix problems there, "then come back and show us how it is done." The tweets were directed toward Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Many left-leaning media outlets said many GOP lawmakers had yet to comment on the tweets. Some right-leaning media outlets pointed out individual GOP lawmakers who had commented on the tweets. Some on both sides labeled Trump's comments as racist.
